Timing schedule/lighting
We needed to schedule our filming so we knew what we were filming and when. Doing this allowed us to plan what shots we had to film. We chose a specific time to film, this being straight after school so it was light and gave us enough time to finish and get all the correct shots that we needed. Overall, we only ended up needing two sessions of filming because we managed to film more than enough shots and we used almost all of the clips.
Whilst filming we made sure that we used good lighting to highlight the main character (Molly). At the beginning theres a flash of high key lighting to make the illusion that she has just woken up. It keeps flickering every so often to portray her eyes adjusting to the light. The lighting continues being very high key throughout the whole sequence to bring about the whole clinical, basic hospital vibe.
Throughout the whole sequence we didn't really add in many effects, purely because of the setting we were using- it was already light enough. This shows where we chose to film completely complimented our horror idea on the whole. We used wes Craven's idea of setting ur open title sequence in a typically safe place. This is effective because people dont expect anything bad to happen but it does.
